The JATP's map
The Jane Austen's travels Project map is the core of the project. Indeed, what better than a map to help people localize where Austen & her characters lived or traveled? The map below was created using Arcgis Webmap

Key information before you explore the map :

-
Due to some of the characters' homes having been invented by the author, in order to make them appear, we used the latitude and longitude of the closest existing city. Such cities/places are indicated as " invented name (name of the city/place whose coordinates were used for the point to appear on the map)."
-
The map being georeferenced (a historical map being superposed on Google map data), some cities may be slightly off.
-
Each coloured line represents a different travel: click on the line you want for more information. The line for the book Emma being very short, you have to zoom a lot to actually see it ( green points). To have more maps and information about each travel, you can go to the books' pages.
-
If you click on a city's point, it will tell you whether Jane Austen lived there and in which book(s) the city appears.
