Sense and Sensibility

Sense and Sensibility  is the first of her novels to have been printed ( in 1811).

Its history focuses on the sentimental troubles on the two eldest Daswood sisters whose characters are as different as night and day. While Elinor (the eldest, on the right of this image) is cautious and reserved, her sister Marianne is extremely sensitive and spontaneous...

Of the five books selected for the project ,Sense and Sensibility is tied for second place with Northanger Abbey in term of number of travels.

​

The Dashwood sisters traveled as follow :

  1. From Norland Park to Barton Cottage

  2. From Barton Cottage to London

  3. From London to Cleveland

  4. From Cleveland to the Barton cottage

  5. From Barton Cootage to Delaford

​

Except London, every place they traveled were invented.
